Louise Gray takes London Fashion Week by storm with COTTON USA sponsorship
Louise Gray took to the catwalks of London Fashion Week (LFW) to reveal her latest collection, sponsored for a third season by
COTTON USA. The show was held at the Topshop catwalk space - the old Eurostar terminal at London Waterloo station – a venue which signalled Louise’s growth as a young designer.

Respected for her eclectic approach to fashion, Louise was able to produce a collection which represented her both as an individual and as a fashion designer, showcasing her fine use of quality U.S. cotton.
A hand embroiderer, Louise played to her strengths in this collection with clear and intricate flowers stitched into a number of pieces within the collection. The craftsmanship and attention to detail which was visible in every garment sent down the catwalk gained the approval of the fashion press and buyers who were present at the show.
Louise’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection featured her trademark patchwork, volume and bright patterns, which could be seen in items such as the woven trench and scarlet embellished shorts. The collection, which was made up of a blend of pastels and bright neon tones, brilliantly clashed together for a dramatic effect.
The front row of the show attracted fashionistas from around the country, including fellow designer Henry Holland who had presented his own LFW collection a few days earlier. Fashion buyers from top department stores Selfridges, Matches and Harvey Nichols were present at the show to view some of the dramatic yet wearable creations.
On being selected for the COTTON USA sponsorship programme once again, Louise said: “The past two seasons have been fantastic and I’m so pleased to have the ongoing support of COTTON USA.”
She continued: “U.S. cotton always features heavily in my collections as it’s one of my favourite materials to work with.”
The COTTON USA sponsorship, which has been awarded in previous years to the likes of Richard Nicholl, Meadham Kirchhoff, PPQ and Preen, is a huge boost for designers looking for ways to grow and improve their work.
