John Lewis signs up for the COTTON USA Mark of quality
COTTON USA, is delighted to announce that John Lewis, Britain’s largest department store retailer, has become the latest organisation to sign up to its COTTON USA 'Naturally' Mark licensing programme. The relationship will see John Lewis displaying the COTTON USA Mark – a sign of purity, softness and strength for cotton – on its new Supima® range of luxury towels.

Operating across 32 shops and on www.johnlewis.com, the department store will be offering consumers’ bathrooms a touch of luxury with its new Supima® towel collection. The towels are identified as being of superior quality by the COTTON USA trademark, a worldwide symbol representing quality and comfort and distinguishing products made from a high percentage of U.S. cotton. Launching in stores this October, the Supima® range will be John Lewis’ heaviest weight of towel at a premium 720 gsm. With a choice of 16 different colours, including cassis and navy, the collection will include face cloths, guest, hand and bath towels and bath sheets, with prices ranging from £4 to £32.
Stephanie Thiers-Ratcliffe, International Marketing Manager of
COTTON USA, added: “John Lewis is one of the UK’s best loved retailers, with shoppers trusting it for its great quality products and strong offering of value for money – making it the perfect fit to feature the COTTON USA Mark on its U.S. cotton products.”
Will Stewart, Bath Shop Buyer, at John Lewis commented, “John Lewis is the UK's destination for quality homeware and we are proud of our heritage of delivering the very best products and good value for money. Using the extra-long U.S. cotton Supima® yarn was an obvious choice for our premium heavyweight towel range, featuring the stamp of quality by COTTON USA.”
